De Estate Reserve White is een nieuwe wijn van het domein Noble Hill.
De blend bestaat uit vier druivenrassen, Grenache Blanc 32%, Chenin 22%, Viognier 2% en Marsanne 44%. Er wordt een zorgvuldige selectie gemaakt om een mooie balans te krijgen in aroma's en structuur. Elk druivenras heeft z'n eigen karakteristiek en samen vertegenwoordigen ze het terroir van Noble Hill.
De vergisting vindt plaats in grote houten vaten en gedeeltelijk in RVS en heeft 9 maanden gerijpt op de fijne lie waardoor het een volle, rijke wijn is geworden met complexiteit, een lange afdronk en frisse fruitaroma's.

Each component of the reserve blend carries different varietal characteristics and reflects slight soil differences between different vineyards on the estate. It is a true reflection of the terroir of Noble Hill.
Chenin Blanc is the oldest vineyard planted at Noble Hill, dating to 1987. This dry-land heritage vineyard grows in deep soils and is shaded from the sun by by nearby forests and an expansive canopy. Our old-vine Chenin Blanc shows balanced acidity, herbaceous aromas, and a delicate mineral flavour. Our small planting of Grenache Blanc grows as untrellised bush vines, giving the grapes even sun exposure and providing the blend with a ripe, sun-kissed taste. Viognier grows on the estate in two distinct sites, and we select barrels from among these sites to give the finished wine a balanced character.
Upon arrival at the winery, the fruit is cooled to 5° Celsius overnight. Bunches are sorted whole and pressed into stainless steel tanks to settle. Primary fermentation occurs in 300 liter French oak barrels using wild yeast populations. The wine is kept on the lees for 9 months before bottling and stirred frequently to add weight and richness.
We carefully blend our estate Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc, and Viognier to achieve a delicate balance of floral aromas and fruitful flavours. Each component brings a layer of complexity and nuance to the wine.
