TIJDELIJK UITVERKOCHT | Domaine Simonin | Pouilly-Fuissé "vieille Vignes" 2019

De appelation Pouilly-Fuissé bestaat kent 5 wijnproducerende gemeenten. De Pouilly-Fuissé wijnen worden gezien als de top van de Zuid-Bourgogne of Macconnais. Domaine Simonin stamt uit 1800 en is altijd familie-bezit gebleven. Sinds 1981 runt Jacques Simonin het bedrijf samen met zijn vrouw.
De wijngaarden liggen in het dal bij Vergisson en zijn alleen aangeplant met Chardonnay druiven. Alle druiven worden met de hand geoogst.

De grond bevat veel kalk en fossielen die de wijnen hun kenmerkende mineraliteit geven. De Pouilly-Fuissé Vieille Vignes komt van druivenstokken van gemiddeld 70 jaar oud in en rond Vergisson. De wijn is gerijpt op houten vaten.

The appellation Pouilly-Fuissé is has wine producing municipalities. Pouilly-Fuissé wines are considered the top of the South Burgundy or Macconnais. Domaine Simonin dates back to 1800 and has remained family-owned. Since 1981 Jacques Simonin runs the company with his wife.
The vineyards are located in the valley of Vergisson and only planted with Chardonnay grapes. All grapes are harvested by hand.

The soil contains a lot of calcium and fossils that give the wines their distinctive minerality. Pouilly-Fuissé Vieille Vignes comes from vines averaging 70 years in and around Vergisson. The wine is matured in wooden casks. 

100% wooded Chardonnay of the old vines, refined and elegant. Many aromas of yellow and white fruits, floral tones. Very good structure. A nice glass!
