Pazo de Rubianes | Albariño 2021

Albariño is dé druif van Rias Baixas in het Noord-Westen van Spanje. Het landschap is divers , van berglandschap tot groene oases, veel hoogteverschillen en veel microklimaten.
De wijnen zijn authentiek en worden steeds beter.
Het wijndomein van Pazo de Rubianes bevat 25 ha, de wijngaarden liggen prachtig op het zuid-westen en de bodem bestaat uit graniet met een toplaag van zand.
De druivenranken zijn veelal in Pergolavorm aangeplant; zo worden de druiven beschermd tegen zon en regen. De oogst wordt met de hand gedaan.
Er wordt gewerkt met lage rendementen om zodoende meer concentratie in de wijn te krijgen en alhoewel Albariño vaak jong gedronken wordt, heeft deze wijn zeer mooi potentieel om te ouderen.

Albariño is the grape of Rias Baixas in the North West of Spain. The landscape is diverse, from mountain scenery to green oases, many height differences and many microclimates. The wines are authentic and improving in quality.
The wine estate of Pazo de Rubianes covers 25 ha, the vineyards are beautifully situated on the south-west and the soil consists of granite with a top layer of sand. The grape vines are mostly planted in Pergola form; this protects the grapes from sun and rain. The harvest is done by hand.
The winery works with low yields in order to get more concentration in the wine and although Albariño is often drunk young, this wine has very good aging potential.
